DO CERTIFICATIONS REALLY MATTER ?

DO I NEED CERTIFICATIONS? IS IT REALLY MATTER.

Its been very long since we all met here right! No worries I am back again with an interesting topic called Do Certifications Really Matter?

Comment below with YES/NO. Yes, Some may agree with the statement and No, Some may disagree with the statement. Before concluding it one should identify what we are getting from certifications?

Since childhood we all participated in many activities, events etc. Those may include sports, dance, music, and other competitions. At the end of it, many would of us received a standard paper good in thickness, designed colorfully with our name written on it and includes what we have done there. Many of us posed for photography too with that. Now you can know what we are describing here, Yes it is certificates. Now I have a another question for you, Why it has been given to you and not for others?

We still now have a lot of certificates at our disposal that we have collected since our childhood during academics and which represents that we possess a particular skill and we are expertise in it. For example, one person simply can't claim that I am pro in a particular sport, the person should have that proof that he really have that skills or should prove it by playing. In that case he may prove it by having those certifications and medals he received at various levels and competitions.

These is where certifications are needed. It describes the individual really has that skills related to particular field. Even when we are apply for various jobs in Top companies, we need to prove the recruiter that we are capable of skills that required for position in the organization. Many would of us tell the recruiter that we done projects, we learned this skills through various certification courses that help us reaching closer to get our dream jobs.

Even now many would of us won't include various certifications in resume related to the job assuming that there won't be any use of it. Because, In many interviews the recruiter won't ask any questions related to certifications. who knows he just checks everything but don't question us, it doesn't mean he didn't consider those things. everything matters at the interview and our resume should have good amount of weightage to land our dream jobs.

Especially the students and freshers who apply for Internships and Jobs, they really need to include basic required skill certifications in the resume to get selected and avoid unnecessary certifications that won't needed at all. At first many of us won't be having much experience in developing projects and having relevant certified skills will be helpful.

Now a days learning those skills and earning those certifications has become an easy task. There are many resources available online(E-Learning apps, Online University Programs, Various Skill Development Websites by Govt and Private Organizations) and offline(Coaching Institutes etc.) through where we can get certified with right industry skills. Most of the courses available now are designed for the skills that needed for the Industry and are available for free. Many top MNCs too started various skill development programs online where we can access those courses for free and get certified.

That's all for this article, keep upskilling your self and don't worry everything will be worth one day.
